James Gunger enjoys helping people make sense of the choices involved in buying or selling a home. A REALTOR® with the Lipkin Audette Team at Coldwell Banker Hickok & Boardman, he works with buyers, sellers, and investors in Greater Burlington and nearby Vermont communities. He takes time to answer questions, explain paperwork, and make sure clients understand their options.

James has helped many buyers explore owner-occupied duplexes as a first home. Living in one unit while renting the other can help offset ownership costs, but it also comes with decisions about financing, maintenance, and tenants. James helps buyers look at how a two-unit property fits their budget and long-term plans. His work has also included helping UVM parents consider student housing options in Burlington and Winooski.

Beyond multi-family properties, James represents buyers and sellers of single-family homes, condominiums, new construction, and investment property. His experience includes Burlington, Winooski, and South Burlington, as well as clients considering Shelburne, Hinesburg, and Charlotte. He works with people relocating to Vermont and with buyers and sellers handling a move from out of state.

James graduated from the University of Vermont with a degree in Economics and Community Development. Before real estate, he was Program Manager at the Vermont Council on World Affairs. He lives in Shelburne, where he volunteers with the fire department. With the Lipkin Audette Team's marketing and administrative support behind him, James can stay closely involved with clients from the first conversation through closing.
